HALLELUJAH!

GOD IS GOOD!!! I am filled with indescribable joy to have our students back on campus. Words don’t do it justice. I know you agree with me when I say I want to say, “HALLELUJAH!” 

As I reflect back on this year, and past school year, I think it’s important to remember our suffering, so we can acknowledge how God has grown us; in our faith.

He saw the disciples straining at the oars.” (Mark 6:48) 

God watched us all straining and striving this summer. He felt our pain. John 11:35 says, Jesus wept. Have you wept this year? Have you felt pain and disappointment and confusion? How humbling to think God himself not only took human form but understands our pain. God cares for our pains.

And the Lord restored the fortunes of Job...And the Lord blessed the latter days of Job more than his beginning.” (Job 42:10, 12)

In the last seven verses of the book Job, “the Lord restored the fortunes of Job….and gave him twice as much as before.” Will you join me in prayer? Let us fall to our knees at His throne and pray for the schools of our community to also be granted the blessings of the waiver we have received. Let us ask Him to restore our country. God has done, and is doing, a mighty work of redemption and restoration. He is growing our hearts in Him through the struggles we face.

Happy Fourth of July

“Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be frightened, and do not be dismayed, for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go.” - Joshua 1:9

As we celebrate our nation’s founding this Fourth of July, please join me in taking a moment to reflect on how fortunate we are to live in the United States and remember the sacrifices that so many have made to protect and preserve our liberties. As President Ronald Reagan said, our nation must be preserved, protected, and passed on to each generation with great care. In the same way, at Hanford Christian School we are dedicated to love, teach, and serve our children for God’s glory so that they may leave our doors with a firm foundation as Christ followers, responsible citizens, and future leaders. 

Hanford Christian School is blessed to be surrounded by a wonderful military community and to call many military members a part of the HCS family. They, like our nation’s Founders, have mutually pledged their lives, their fortunes, and their sacred honor to defend our great country. We are so grateful for our HCS military service members and the families that support them!

The body is not made up of one part but of many

These last few days, weeks, and months have been a time of great concern for our country.  So much pain, brokenness, anger, and sadness has risen to the surface - we are aware that this is not how it's supposed to be. Our eyes have been opened further to the sinful and broken world we live in. More than ever, we are grateful that this is not our forever home.

“The body is a unit, though it is made up of many parts; and though all its parts are many, they form one body. So it is with Christ. ... Now the body is not made up of one part but of many” (1 Corinthians 12:12).

It is our goal to embrace what we are taught through God’s word and recognize God has made us uniquely different in so many ways.

Here at Hanford Christian School, we believe deeply in the power of prayer. We invite you to uplift our country, our leaders and our children in prayer. We believe in the power of "pray without ceasing" (1 Thessalonians 5:16).

Search me, God, and know my heart; test me and know my anxious thoughts. See if there is any offensive way in me, and lead me in the way everlasting 

Psalm 139:23-24
