Spelling Test: Friday, November 15
* The last four words on the spelling list are challenge words. Your child's grade will not be affected by a misspelled challenge word. For every challenge word that is spelled correctly your child will receive a bonus point.
Math: Your child typically will not come home with any math homework. We will be doing both the homework and remembering sides of our worksheets in class. If the worksheet does not get completed in class it will be sent home as homework. I encourage the students to practice their addition and subtraction math facts at home.
Reading: It is very important that your child reads each night. I encourage you to read with your child for at least 10 minutes each night.
High-Frequency Words: Every other week a new high-frequency word list will be posted. Please practice these words at home with your child.
Due Friday, November 22
"When they had seen him, they spread the word concerning what had been told them about this child, and all who heard it were amazed at what the shepherds said to them. But Mary treasured up all these things and pondered them in her heart. The shepherds returned, glorifying and praising God for all the things they had heard and seen, which were just as they had been told."
One of the best things about second grade is that students love to read! Each month, I'll send home book orders. While you can purchase them through mail, an easier way is to order on the internet! If you do this, our class gets extra bonus points, free books, and even free shipping! The first time you order online, you'll have to enter the class activation code. Ours is QMDYR.
