His Grace Is Sufficient

May 21, 2020
By Diana Schmidt

These last few weeks of school have been very challenging but it has also been rewarding to live out the truth, “His grace is sufficient for us” (2 Corinthians 12:9).

I want to commend all of you for doing such an incredible job and all the hard work you have put into continuing your education at Hanford Christian School. I also want to say a special thank you and acknowledge all the parents who have sacrificed so much during this transition we have had to make to E-learning.

Eighth Graders. I’m deeply saddened this is goodbye. This is not the way we envisioned the school year ending. However, I am comforted knowing this did not take God by surprise! He knew when you started your education at HCS and when we started the school year this is what “goodbye” would look like. We can rest in the knowledge knowing He will take care of you as you continue your education just as He has taken care of all of us during this difficult time. We know the Lord has some incredible things in store for each and every one of you and we look forward to watching Jesus reveal his plan for your lives in the future.

We all miss our students. The teachers are extremely sad we didn’t get to hug and say, “Goodbye! Have a good summer!” But just like our reunion in heaven with Jesus what a glorious reunion we will have when we are all together again.

In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world.” John 16:33

See you next year!

God’s Blessings,

PRAYER FOR GRADUATES

“But if any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all generously and without reproach, and it will be given to him.” James 1:5

Dear Lord,

We ask that you guide our graduates as they go on from HCS to always walk in Your wisdom. We pray that you will guide them to be wise leaders of this generation, and they will be “light in the dark” (John 1:5). Father, we ask that you will give them the wisdom of discernment to hear Your voice amongst the noise of this fallen world. We pray for Your blessings of protection over them as they leave Hanford Christian School and go on to continue their education. Lord, bless their families. Give their parents Your wisdom to continue to “train up a child in the way he should go” (Proverbs 22:6). We ask that you guide these graduates to live life in the presence of God, under the authority of God and to the glory of God.

We humbly ask all these things in Your name.

Amen
