A Letter From Mr. Singh
I am truly blessed to teach band, choir and general music at Hanford Christian School. God is doing amazing work with our students, staff, parents through our music program. We had a wonderful Christmas concert in December 2021. Our choir performed at the winter wonderland in Downtown Hanford this past January and hope to make this an annual event.
Our Mothers Club has blessed us with their generosity by purchasing several new instruments. As God blesses our school growth, we are able to supply more students with instruments. Studies have shown music is crucial in brain development and also improves verbal, math, coordination, and fine motor skills.
We are also blessed to add Mrs. Joanna Banta to our music staff. She is our collaborative pianist and will be assisting with the choir and band. She is very talented, organized and God sent her at just the right time.
Music has been used throughout history to bring praise to our God. David was an accomplished musician and many of the Psalms were written for the director of music. Hanford Christian School loves to worship the Lord through both vocal and instrumental music.
Beginning band starts in 6th grade and then progresses on through junior high. Choir is available to 5th through 8th grade students. General music is taught in Kindergarten through 4th grade. One of our goals is to perform and compete in choir and band festivals in the near future. Most importantly, we honor God through our commitment to excellence in music and every minute we practice and perform is for the glory of God.
